Dudley Ladies Waddle and Widdle and Paddle at the Wiggle as Marion Wins a Her First Prize

Sunday 1st July saw some of Dudley Ladies finest waddle, widdle and paddle as they wallowed in the mud following the very heavy recent rain at the new Wombourne Wiggle 10k.

First home for the club was Gina Ponting, who has now discovered that the secret to running fast is not to over-dress, second home was Petra Grigat-Bradley, who must have webbed feet and she was followed in by Jacky Bevan who seems to improve with every race.

Other notable performances were posted by Kate Sheldon, Hannah Whitbrook, Amanda Dingley, Sarah Wood, Natalie Taylor, Kay Shotton, Maggie Lovell, Heather Davies, Debbie Mottram, Denise Anslow, Sue Hutton and Sue Dalton.

Star of the day was without a doubt Marion Willetts who was the first lady over 60 to finish and she won a medal, a bottle of wine and a bouquet of flowers from the organisers.
